It is where the young child gains their first learning experiences, where a sense of identity is developed, it is where long-term dreams and aspirations are formed and it is also where modeling of a work ethic first occurs for them." -Graham Young, president of the Secondary Principals Association, 3 April 2006

updates

Well it’s been 3 weeks since my last update! And I have done so much! I better start with my trip to Christchurch at a week old. I meet my all of mum and dad’s buddies plus I even got to go to church! I visited mum’s work from before she was unwell with me and all her lovely friends from there! I also attended my first flat warming; now that was fun, good old mum stayed straight so I got good quality milk…yum. I also inherited lots of beautiful cloths off Neve and her mum Nina (a good friend of mum’s) I love them so much one suit even has my initials LP in a cute little love heart!(my favorite). We all stayed at Gran Erin’s place which was nice and I even enjoyed a bath with her which was so good it put me to sleep. So in the few days we had we managed to get round quite a bit, I hope I will be visiting again soon.

Paula visited me today and weighed and checked me over, I have put on 190 grams since birth I am now 9lb 5oz and mums milk is great! Mum has mastitis which was making her unwell in CHCH she didn’t even know that that was the cause, now that she has finally worked it out she is managing it and it is getting better! GO MUM!

My next visit with Paula, gee she is fun! Today I found out how much weight I’ve put on –most babies put on 100-200 grams a week, I’d put on 390 in 12 days! Mum has taken me out walking this week I love the fresh air, and usually fall asleep, it’s my favorite!

My last visit with Paula L I am now 4950g –a weight gain of 580 grams!!! Also, I have grown 7cm since I was born. I feel pretty happy with myself. I will start seeing a plunket nurse now, that will be exciting for me. I am going to go on my first plane ride on the 15th to Christchurch for a week with mum; I’m looking forward to that. I have just started to smile at mum and dad too they really enjoy watching me! Dad will miss us though. I will be able to add lots more when I get back!
